Handmade Holiday: DIY Baubles

Our friend and Honest Mom Juli Novotny is back this month to share a handmade ornament with clear appeal! Check out her simple steps below for making your own festive (and affordable) decorations.

A holiday DIY is a really exciting thing to tackle, especially when it comes to gifts. A homemade gift is so fun to give, and if you can get the kids involved... well, then, that's even better!

My kids and I made these fun little ornaments that turned out super cute, so I thought I would share the simple tutorial with everybody. They are really easy to make, and can be customized to fit with your own style and decor.

Holiday Baubles

Materials

Bottle brush trees

Empty glass baubles

Hot glue gun

Fake snow flakes

Fishing line (or other hanger)

Instructions

1. Glue a drop of hot glue onto the bottom of the bottle brush tree.
2. Use tweezers to carefully insert the small tree into the clear glass ornament.
3. Carefully pour the snow in over the tree inside the ornament. Close the ornament and tie fishing line as a tree hanger.
4. Enjoy for years to come!
