The Honest Company was honored to bring a special holiday experience to 300 Baby2Baby families in the Los Angeles Community for the annual Baby2Baby Holiday PlayDate on Saturday, December 14. Parents and children were invited to the Baby2Baby warehouse to enjoy seasonal fun and return home with bags full of toys, gifts, and much needed essentials like diapers, wipes, and shampoo. In addition to the toys and shoes graciously donated by other companies, Honest contributed 3000 packs of wipes, 526 packs of diapers, 300 shampoos, and 300 diapers bags for the families to take home.
Each invited family was paired with a donor family who received a shopping list in advance so that they could shop for their adopted family. Through this Family2Family program, every adopted parent received the products they needed to provide for their little ones, and every child went home with wrapped toys.
The day was filled with fun, smiles, and laughter as donor families and adopted families played together in a totally transformed Baby2Baby Warehouse. With involvement from magical characters like Santa Claus, Spider Man, and Dora the Explorer, and community role models like Jessica Alba, Gwen Stefani, and other influential celebrities, this day was truly something we will never forget.
Complete with a holiday teepee and twinkle lights, guests spent time exploring a kid-size mini winterscape in the middle of the Baby2Baby warehouse.
Santa Claus, Spider Man, and Dora the Explorer came to town to take photos with all the smiling children at Baby2Baby. Each family took turns taking a picture with these magical characters and then went home with a custom framed photograph to remember the experience.
Mini Christmas Tree Creations
Everyone was invited to bring their crafting skills to create mini Christmas trees that could be taken home at the end of the event.
A professional airbrush artist set-up shop in the middle of the event to make one-of-a-kind pieces for the children in attendance.
What party is complete without a full dance party? Children spent the day dancing under mirrored disco balls (sometimes alongside Spider Man and Santa!) to the kid-friendly tunes of a professional DJ.
Hot Chocolate Station
This hot chocolate bar was a popular stop amongst all the guests. Parents and kids loaded up on hot chocolate and sweet treats like lollipops, candy canes, and much more.
Professional face painting and temporary tattoos allowed all the guests to physically get into the holiday spirit!
For all of us at The Honest Company, it was the perfect way to cap-off the holiday season. We are honored to be a part of the amazing work that Baby2Baby is doing in our community and look forward to many events to come.
