Stay beach-body ready all summer long with this core strengthening series from Leila Cunningham. It’s a great move to do on its own or to mix into your workout routine.
Benefits: This exercise will help you work towards a slimmer stomach. It strengths lower, mid and upper abs and practices overall control of your core muscles.
Step 1: Start by laying flat on your back. While reaching your arms by your side and pressing them into the mat, curl up your upper body until your shoulder blades are off the mat.
Step 2: Engaging your lower abs, lift your legs off the mat while in upper curl. While pressing your arms into the mat, peel your spine off the mat and lift your legs up and over (roll over). Simultaneously place your head back down on the mat. Keep your legs squeezed together and use your hamstrings to lift them up towards the ceiling.
Step 3: While bringing your legs back towards the mat, curl up your upper body and begin again.
Repeat 3 to 5 times
Honest Tip: If this is a new move for you, start by making a smaller range of motion.
